CAMP HILL –In partnership with the Department of Corrections (DOC), the Criminal Justice Reform Caucus (CJRC) jointly hosted a special event today highlighting the challenges individuals face when reentering society from prison. Delozier Bill to Support Crime Victims Signed into Law

HARRISBURG – Legislation authored by state Rep. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-Cumberland) that would give crime victims legal standing in court, update crime victims’ compensation, provide notice of events in the judicial process and enhance victims’ confidentiality for domestic and sexual violence crimes was signed into law today. The measure is now Act 77 of 2022.

Commonwealth Court Judge Halts PennDOT’s Tolling Plan

HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court Judge Ellen Ceisler today issued a preliminary injunction ordering PennDOT to stop its work related to its plan to toll nine bridges throughout the Commonwealth until the full court can render a decision. Today, Commonwealth Court Judge Ellen Ceisler issued a preliminary injunction against PennDOT to halt proposed work on its plan to toll nine bridges throughout the Commonwealth, including the I-83 bridge. This means PennDOT cannot currently proceed with its proposal until the full court can render a decision. This is great news for our communities in the 88th District, which would be severely impacted by this misguided tolling plan.
