Delozier to Host 14th Annual Tribute to Veterans Breakfast
April 9, 2026
MECHANICSBURG — Veterans and active-duty military personnel from the 88th Legislative District are invited to join Rep. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-Cumberland) for breakfast on Thursday, April 23, to honor their military service. The theme of this year’s free breakfast is “Celebrating Our History in Preparation for America250.”
The event will begin at 8 a.m., with doors opening at 7:30 a.m., at First Church of God Community Center, 201 E. Green St. in Mechanicsburg.
“My annual Tribute to Veterans Breakfast has always been a treasured tradition – a time to come together as friends and neighbors, and to honor the local heroes who have worn our nation’s uniform,” said Delozier. “This year holds even deeper meaning. It will be my final veterans breakfast, and it coincides with America’s semiquincentennial, a celebration of 250 years of freedom.
“From the earliest days of our Republic to today, the Armed Forces have stood as guardians of liberty, shaping the foundation of this great nation. It is a privilege to pay tribute to those who have defended the ideals that make America strong.”
This year’s guest speaker is Marine Corps veteran, Sen. Greg Rothman (R-34). Prior to his public service, Rothman enlisted in the Marine Corps during Operation Desert Storm. He served nearly 10 years in the Marine Corps Reserve, rising to the rank of staff sergeant before being honorably discharged in 2001. His service led the president of the United States to appoint him to the National Veterans Business Development Corporation board to encourage veterans to start entrepreneurial ventures.
This year’s keynote speaker, Lt. Col. Devin Hammond, is a resident student at the U.S. Army War College. He began his Army career in 1998 as an infantryman and was later commissioned through ROTC at Radford University. He has served in key infantry leadership roles, multiple deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and a range of acquisition positions, including command of the 904th Contracting Battalion and director of MICC–Fort Stewart. Hammond holds advanced degrees in acquisition and contract management and is DAWIA Level III certified.
Attendees are asked to RSVP at RepDelozier.com/events or call 717-761-4665.
