LOWER ALLEN – Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland) will host her fifth annual breakfast and recognition ceremony to honor and recognize veterans and active military personnel residing in the 88th Legislative District. All service members are welcome to participate, regardless of when they served.
The event will take place on Tuesday, May 2, at the First Church of God Community Center,
201 E. Green St., Mechanicsburg. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. The program will begin at 8 a.m. Vietnam veterans will receive a special commemorative lapel pin as part of the nation’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
“We owe our veterans and active duty military a debt of gratitude for protecting and defending America’s freedom and independence,” Delozier said. “This is just one small way to thank them for their service.”
Brig. Gen. Tony Carrelli, Pennsylvania’s adjutant general, will be this year’s keynote speaker for the event.
Veterans and active duty personnel are invited to bring a guest to the event; however, seating is limited, and registration is required. Those interested in attending can register online at RepDelozier.com or call Delozier’s district office at (717) 761-4665.
