Lawmakers Stand Together to Advocate for the Protection of Foster Youth Benefits

On April 13, it was a pleasure to stand alongside former foster youth and fellow advocates to spread the word about House Bill 151. This bill would protect benefits for foster youth by allowing counties to screen for and conserve benefits in a savings account for when a foster youth exits care. This simple modification would ensure foster youth have savings to support housing, education and health care when they enter the workforce as an adult.

Delozier Bill to Exempt ID/A Community Homes from Discriminatory Requirements Passes Committee Unanimously

On April 13, my House Bill 711 passed the House Housing and Community Development Committee unanimously. This legislation would support Pennsylvanians with intellectual disabilities and autism by exempting community homes from discriminatory sprinkler system requirements, creating more housing opportunities for individuals in the ID/A community.

Helping Local Veterans with Selfless Service

April 10, 2026

On April 7, I participated in an event coordinated by Selfless Service, a local organization that helps veterans, first responders and their families in times of need. A team of dedicated helpers moved a wood pile for veterans, Ann and Jerry Bates. The Bates' served in the Navy during Operation Desert Storm. By taking some time out of our morning, we were able to show a bit of gratitude to a family who served our nation.

Together, we can make a difference by educating others about the importance of cardiac health.

Resolution Recognizing ‘Wear Purple Day’ Passes House, Honors Lives Lost to Sudden Cardiac Arrest

On Feb. 4, the House passed my House Resolution 399 with near-unanimous support. The resolution marks Feb. 19 as Wear Purple Day in Pennsylvania and pays tribute to Peyton Walker, and all other children and young people who’ve lost their lives to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
