HARRISBURG – State Reps. Sheryl Delozier (R-Lower Allen) and Thomas Kutz (R-Mechanicsburg) and Sen. Greg Rothman (R-34) will host a community-wide document shredding event for residents of their House and Senate districts who reside in Hampden or Silver Spring townships. The event will be held on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the former Park Inn by Radisson, 5401 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg.

The legislators invite residents of Hampden and Silver Spring townships to partake in this free service.

“Tax season is underway, making it a great time to safely dispose of paperwork containing private and personal information that could be used by fraudsters looking to obtain passwords, Social Security numbers and other sensitive information.

“We are happy to be offering this important service to our community, and hope that many people will come out to take advantage of it.

“We would also like to thank our supporting sponsors, Pennsylvania American Water and Cumberland Valley Insurance, for helping to make this event possible.”

There will be a limit of five boxes and/or bags per household. Paper that has already been shredded, three ring binders, plastic, carbon paper, metal, food wrapper and blueprints will not be accepted.

Questions about this event should be directed to Delozier’s office at 717-761-4665, Kutz’s office at 717-975-2235 or Rothman’s office at 717-787-1377.
