Judiciary Committee Forwards Delozier Bill
The House Judiciary Committee this week reported out my legislation to provide those with low-level, nonviolent criminal records a mechanism to have their record sealed from public view. House Bill 1419 would build upon Act 5 of 2016 and would automatically seal records of those convicted of low-level, nonviolent misdemeanors without action by the offender. Under current law, these individuals must petition the court for the record to be sealed. The bill now goes to the full House for consideration.
